Forrest's story

Forrest was born a bull calf on a dairy farm in July 2021. Male calves are seen as waste products in the dairy industry because they do not produce milk for human consumption. They are either killed immediately or sent to veal operations and killed after a few months. Forrest made his way to UNH in September 2021 with his mother, Fiona. Unlike many babies born in the dairy industry, Forrest is lucky enough to know what it’s like to grow up knowing his mother’s love.
